It’s been a couple of months that we all were stuck in a lockdown and it gave me an opportunity to work with the things I already had with me.
This lockdown has made me realize that to create something we need to go out of our way rather than spending on expensive props or background. As you will see, below are the images what I created during last two weeks.
1. Natural Light – First step is to check what time is the natural light best in their house.
2. Ideas – Speak to your friends/clients regarding what they like doing the most or have been creating during lockdown. Accordingly the topic can be decided, and they will be able to connect more when they pose. For eg if they have been reading lot of books, painting or doing yoga etc.
3. Photoshoot Set Up – Be ready with your set up, arrange them well in advance.
4. Facetime – I was mostly Facetiming with my friends, the ones who did not have iPhone we connected over Whatsapp video call.
5. Back Camera – When you are facetiming with them ask your friend to have someone who can help them to hold the camera. Always make sure that your friend is using the back camera that gives better quality.
Image quality is not going to be great, embrace it.
If you guys have any questions or would want to know more how I shot or conceptualized you can write to me on : vrutika.d@gmail.com or comment below.
Lastly would like to thank all my girls who had the patience, we ended up making some beautiful portraits. 🙂
Stay Safe & Healthy. Please do share, Thank you so much.
